What happens next
- Opt-out requests need no identity check. We apply them as soon as we process them, and no later than 15 business days.
- Delete, access and correct requests are confirmed by email before we act, so nobody can change or obtain your information by guessing your address. We respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why, and we may extend once by another 45 days.
- Authorized agents may submit a request for someone else. We will ask for the consumer's signed permission and may ask the consumer to confirm directly.
- No discrimination. Using these rights never changes the price or quality of the service you receive.
- Appeals. If we decline a request, reply to our decision email with the word “Appeal”. We will answer within 45 days and explain how to contact your state Attorney General if you disagree.
- Some records must be kept even after a deletion request, such as transaction records required for tax purposes. We will tell you what we kept and why.
